"Dune Splines" is a land art project set in the vast, arid expanse of the Empty Quarter, the largest continuous sand desert in the world, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The project is characterized by a striking visual contrast between the natural, golden sand dunes and the artificial, vibrant textile lines spread across the desert landscape. In this project, large pieces of blue and red fabrics are meticulously laid out across the undulating surfaces of the dunes, creating sweeping, intricate patterns that trace the contours of the terrain. These textiles form continuous lines that carve through the desert, resembling the "splines" often used in computer graphics to define curves and shapes in 3D modeling software.
